Our Story

At Holy Halvah, Rebecca set out on a mission to craft a simple yet extraordinary
version of one of her favorite childhood treats—halvah. Driven by a love for clean,
wholesome food, she was determined to use only real ingredients.

What began as a passion project led Rebecca through years of trial and error.
Balancing the unique nature of raw ingredients and experimenting with precise ratios
and temperatures, she remained dedicated to creating something truly special—not to force commercial success, but simply to share with friends and family.

One day, after countless batches, Rebecca finally nailed it: a silky, melt-in-your-mouth halvah, made with just four ingredients and sweetened only with Vermont maple syrup. She dashed down the dirt road to share a sample with her friend and neighbor, Shaun.

A little later, her phone buzzed:
**“HOLY HALVAH! This is amazing—and so are you!”**
The text became the name and heart of their venture.

That joyful moment sparked something bigger than either of them imagined. Now,
Rebecca and Shaun are partners not just in life, but in the creative rhythm of Holy
Halvah. They bring their unique strengths to every step of the process—Rebecca's drive for perfection and artistry paired with Shaun's steady support and problem-solving mindset.

From their small mountain community in Lincoln, Vermont, they craft every batch by
hand, using locally sourced maple syrup and a whole lot of heart. It's a reflection of
their shared values: connection to the land, love for clean, nourishing food, and a deep commitment to making something meaningful together.
